- You can. But you'll spend 10 minutes per item searching, scrolling sold listings, and second-guessing yourself. wearner does that lookup in 5 seconds, and we do it for the whole German secondhand market — not just one platform.
- How accurate is the price?
- Our range is calibrated to recent comparable sales across Kleinanzeigen, Vinted, eBay and momox. For common items (branded clothing, consumer electronics, books, IKEA furniture) we're typically within 15% of the eventual sale price. For rare or vintage items, the range widens — and we tell you when we're guessing.
- What if I disagree with the price?
- The range is a starting point, not gospel. You know your item's condition better than a photo can show. Use the listing generator, then nudge the price up or down before you post.
- Is it really free?
- Yes. Free, no signup, no credit card. We'll add a power-seller plan eventually for people listing dozens of items a week — the basic point-and-value flow stays free forever.
- Do you store my photos?
- No. Photos are sent to the valuation service and discarded after the response. Nothing is persisted to a database, and no account exists to attach images to. Your scan history lives only in this browser tab.
- Which categories work best?
- Clothing (especially branded), consumer electronics, books, small furniture, kitchen and home goods. Weakest on: handmade crafts, art, very rare collectibles, and anything where condition matters more than the model.
